Originally Hayes Hotel in 1828, the current Royal Marine Hotel in Dublin has a storied past. Acquired by railway builder William Dargan in 1863, the new design incorporated part of the old Hayes Hotel. Opening in 1865, the Royal Marine is a prominent Dublin and Dún Laoghaire establishment. As a premier 4-star hotel, it has hosted luminaries like Frank Sinatra and Queen Victoria. Room 210 is said to have sheltered Michael Collins.
